Grand opening of 10 new outlets by Areas in the Guadalajara Airport (Mexico)
The food service project Areas has designed for the Guadalajara International Airport intends to improve traveller’s experiences with a selection of innovative concepts that include well-known international franchises with Mexican, Asian, and Italian food trademarks, bakeries, an original cocktail bar, and a designer Argentinian bistro.
The main outlet opened inside the airport is Mercado Providencia, a market style space which takes its name from one of the best-known restaurants in Guadalajara, with a relaxing seating area for 190 diners.
The market includes concepts such as Ciénaga, a Mexican food outlet developed by Areas; Pizza Amore, a renowned pizza and pasta franchise; Asian Street Food, a space assessed by Josefina Santa Cruz, a nationally renowned specialist in Asian cuisine; The Urban Corner, specialized in grilled meat and fish, The Drinks, with the best cocktails; and Punta del Cielo, a high-end pastry shop.
The project also includes a multi-concept space, with a seating area for more than 180 diners, featuring Deli&Cia (an own brand with an international presence, boasting healthy and natural options) together with two successful iconic franchises: Carl’s Jr. and Subway.
Lastly, Areas has opened the restaurant Novecento, an Argentinian bistro with a wide variety of cuts of meat, show-cooking and a select offering of wines and liquors. The space features a private room for 12 diners, ideal for business travelers.
