Areas opens the first MásQMenos at Málaga Airport – Costa del Sol

Areas, the leading company in the Food&Beverage and Travel Retail sectors, has opened the first MásQMenos bar at Málaga Airport – Costa del Sol. The new bar is located airside, in T3’s departure lounge and is made up of an area of 50 square metres and can accommodate 25 diners.



MásQMenos is part of the FoodBox group and describes itself as a “ham and tapas bar”. This national gastronomic brand, which currently has 18 establishments in the whole of Spain, has now arrived at Málaga Airport – Costa del Sol with a selection of unique and high-quality products. 

The new establishment has a varied gastronomic offer revolving around ham and and Iberian sausages and offers customers a “lifelong” menu consisting of the best products for gourmet experiences with character and prestige.  At the new MásQMenos, the flagship dishes are the Iberian products; the best seller being: Iberian acorn-fed ham. This icon of Spanish cuisine is accompanied by bread and tomato, or an olive oil flat bread made especially for MásQMenos.

Málaga Airport’s new bar will attract all types of customers, both national and foreign, as it offers travellers typical products from the country’s cuisine as well as the most in-demand products for airport consumption. What gives MásQMenos an edge is its wide range of products that can be enjoyed at any time of day, together with an elegant ambiance that invites airport guests to enjoy breakfasts, lunches or snacks in-between meals.

Present at the airports in Madrid and Bilbao and winner of the best hospitality franchise award at the International Franchise Show in Valencia in 2016, MásQMenos now lands at Málaga Airport – Costa del Sol meaning travellers can now enjoy the benefits of casual food, the evolving tradition and the best ham sandwich.

The opening of this new outlet is part of the allocation and implementation of 7 new establishments at Málaga Airport – Costa del Sol, after the competition held in cooperation with Aena for the renovation of the airport’s dining options.
