Areas to be reference caterer at Mobile World Congress
For this year’s event, the company will revamp its food and beverage offering with new brands adapted to the needs of the 101,000-plus forecast attendees, most of them from abroad. The new ranges –combining everything from grab&go concepts to leading-edge cuisine– will comprise consolidated proprietary brands such as Deli&Cia, Sibarium Bar and Pepito Grillo making their debut at Fira Barcelona.
The event will also include Antara, the Areas brand specializing in catering services, which will deliver more than 500 orders straight to stands.
Through Antara, Areas will also provide special services at different stands: from cocktail and cava to barista bars. Over 200 customers inquired after these services last year and the figure is expected to continue to grow this time round.
To deliver premium customer service, Areas will shore up its workforce by bringing in more than 400 people. The company expects to serve more than 60,000 cups of coffee, 30,000 sandwiches, 25,000 fruit cups and more than 20,000 orange juices, rounding off this estimate by serving approximately 1,500 daily meals.
Areas hopes to maintain the sales figures from the previous year when it registered a 5% growth in restaurant services and 16% growth in catering.
