Areas attracts the innovative La Place brand to Spain for the first time

La Place, the prestigious, internationally renowned brand, has arrived to Spain for the first time in an Express format by Areas, the leading Food&Beverage and Travel Retail company. The Dutch brand has started its activity in Spain in the Adolfo Suárez Madrid Barajas airport, with a 146-m² space, and will soon open another outlet together with Areas in the Barcelona-El Prat airport based on the food and beverage concession recently won by the company.

Areas has chosen the La Place brand, a unique concept with very flexible service and a very attractive offer which opens up in Barajas in a Grab&Go format that will delight passengers. La Place is a cool and trendy concept with an array of natural and healthy products created fresh with seasonal ingredients in full view.  The concept has 90 outlets across the world, is wildly popular in the best airports (with an important presence in Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport and Toronto’s Pearson Airport) and is Google’s sure fire choice, which includes this brand in its headquarters.

La Place is an honest brand, committed to a healthy lifestyle.  The set-up grabs your attention, with a true culinary showcooking spectacle where fresh and natural materials placed in plain sight stand out. In La Place there are no hidden storage areas, instead everything is in plain sight so that clients can be sure that the ingredients used to prepare their food is fresh.  The team of this new outlet in Barajas has been training in La Place Food College in the Netherlands, where they have soaked up the brand’s philosophy.

The menu of the Barajas outlet, designed to satisfy the needs of all types of passengers all day long, includes healthy specialties created with natural and fresh ingredients each day, some organic and ecological, without any added artificial substances. The food is presented in a comfortable, attractive and easy format to take on the go in environmentally friendly packaging. The proposal includes a grab&go offer –with a wide range of sandwiches, salads and soups, snacks and desserts based on fresh fruits and vegetables or dairy products– and a coffee shop offering sweet pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurts with different toppings such as cereals and fruits, focaccias with omelet, smoothie bowls or freshly made natural fruit juice and smoothies, among other specialties.

With this opening, Areas continues to upgrade the culinary options in the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport, where it currently manages 50 outlets from 26 different brands with a diversified array including innovative proposals and up-to-date concepts adapted to the needs of passengers.
